The Vera Iconica Story
Vera Iconica Architecture was established in 2010 by Veronica Schreibeis Smith, and is a global architecture firm located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We employ an innovative and culturally rich expression of architecture, imbuing value in adapting heritage and tradition for today’s needs and products. Vera Iconica Architecture is recognized for its ability to develop extensions of the landscape and integrations of ‘self to place.’ The words Vera Iconica mean ‘True Likeness’ and represent being true to the people and places architecture embodies. We celebrate the use of natural and sustainable materials to deliver truly personalized works of architecture to our clients.

Teton Timber Frame
Last week we had the pleasure of meeting Adam Riley of Teton Timber Frame, an EcoNest affiliate located in Driggs, ID. We met over a shared passion for Natural Building Techniques and the importance of these practices for human health and wellbeing, as well as the future of our planet. We left feeling inspired, hopeful, and eager for future collaborations. Image shown is one of their timber frame structures, which are really amazing. Meet with us to learn how a natural building will support and empower your wellbeing.
One of our recent projects, a lovely remodel out in Wilson, Wyoming, was featured in the latest issue of Range! It was a wonderful, truly collaborative project for the entire team. Be sure to check it out here!
Wellness Architecture Tip #1
Did you know that the presence of #wood is known to reduce stress levels? Utilize #natural materials in your environment to promote #wellness in many ways. The image behind is a small clip of our newest office addition – a 100% natural rug made of Mulberry Wood & Natural Dyes from Joel of Galeria Ganesha.
Partnership with Longhi Architects
VIA has a partnership with Luis Longhi, founder of Longhi Architects, working together to promote a movement toward culturally rich expressions of architecture (vs. an international style), and imbuing value in adapting heritage and traditions for today’s needs and products (as opposed to losing traditions of both lifestyle & craftsmanship, while unhealthy materials and cheap products proliferate the market place). We are working to pioneer a return to visceral and cultural roots with purity and beauty.
Veronica the Rule Breaker
Congratulations to Veronica, our CEO & Founder, for winning a Rule Breaker Award! She will head down to New Orleans at the end of July to attend the Sage Summit and Rule Breaker Awards Ceremony after being recognized for her innovative business techniques, encouraging the use of BIM technology, and pioneering the world of Wellness in Architecture. We couldn’t be more proud and grateful!
Re-Defining Workplace Wellness
